hey guys, guess where i went just now?
ya, i woke up early in the morning to go service at city harvest church which located at sg expo there. i went there with yew xi and her classmates. they're friendly, international friends wor, dubai, indonesia, taiwan, china and of course malasia and sg la.
we were meeting 9.30am at mrt station. but half of them were late, i was already late 10 minutes, but none of them reached when i was there. haha.. we waited everyone till 10.15am like that, then we headed to the church which is just in front of the mrt station. before that i already saw a lot pf ppl went that direction. not say one or two ppl. it's like groups and groups of ppl!! i asked Michelle how many ppl going for service. guess what? 8,000 plus ppl!! OMG.. it's amazing!
there were quite a number of ppl standing outside, i think they're the person in charged ba. they're wearing some kinda lanyards. when i went in, whoa!! wow.. i saw everyone was standing and hands up singing worship songs! i'd never seen a scenery like that!? they're having band, i mean it's really a band on the stage, got choir somemore. i almost fainted..
the church is huge man!! they got LCD screen not projector, got video cam, spot lights.. fantastic!
of course the worship is just like any other normal churches. but they add in performances in between the sermon. quite a good idea so that ppl wont fall asleep. and they report upcoming events using video. of course they pre-record the video. not bad, not bad!
the pastor is sun ho's husband. he has given a great sermon. it's the greatest i had ever heard. i think he talked for at least one hour ba. but it wasn't boring at all.
he talked about some common negative attitudes among Christians. then he defined culture using Bible. colera in latin means culture. it can be defined as any human effort in the world, to unearth its treasure and creatively bring then into the service of man for the environment of human existence for the glory of God. meaning ask us to release everything we can do the the fullest level. of course, u practice what u believe in daily activities. that's the culture of u.
so we have to practice good culture in life.

God wants us to master in both profession(work) and worship. we must find a balance in between. that's what many Christians fail to do so, so as i la. Gen 2:15, work is not a result of sin. we have to work as God Himself work hard too. He works so hard for 7 days till He has to spend the next 7 days to rest. so, we should have to work hard and serve the Lord and the nation at the same time.
then he also said that we can be the living testimony for non-believers. like living out lives to the fullest, do everything from heart.. ect. for example, the pastor himself. haha.. so i want to be like him too. wanna study super hard for the glory of God!!
The Lord is coming on the way!! He wanna renew and refresh this world for us. Rev 14:13, ur work and deeds will follow to the new world. Martin Luther said if today is the last day of the world, he would have plant a tree. because the tree will follow him to the new world too. hehe.. so do good things from now on!! treat ppl nice nice and do things nice nice~~
just wanna share with u guys my experience today. it's fantastic. next time u all come here, can go city harvest too. u'll surely have a shock!! it's just like having a concert. serious^^
