i just finished watching "1 litre of tears". it's indeed a meaningful and touching Japanese series. well, the title suits the drama well. i cried like mad when watching it. it's just like the tears dropped down my cheeks non-stop. i couldn't help to stop too. i didn't know when did i start crying. but i really cried a lot. i'm gonna dehydrated!
guess most of u all already watched the drama. and i was recommended this drama by lots of people. indeed it's nice. it teaches me, no i should say, the main character, Aya Kito teaches me the value of life. as long as we're alive, we're blissful than anyone. many are struggling between death and live yet some have suicidal thoughts. sounds sarcastic?
through her, i found the reason for being a nurse. i wanna help people, bring hope and happiness to the sicks. ya, patients are troublesome and annoyed most of the time. however, since i'm healthy, i must help them. it's alright to let them scold. (serious??) haha..
i'm interested in the disease that introduced in the drama, called SpinoCerebellar Ataxia (SCA). i found some information from google.com. it's a inherited disease due to mutation of the genes, mainly DNA. currently, there're 11 types of SCA. some still not listed yet. researches are still in process. same as other genetic disorder diseases like Down's Syndrome and Turner Syndrome, it has no cure. some discovered the disease only when they're adult, just like Aya.
this can be prevented. how? understand ur genes. dun marry a carrier or affected partner. but who really cares?
